The Garo or A. Chik Mande is the largest ethnic group of Meghalaya region of west Bengal which is located north of Dhaka either in Bangladesh or India.

I met Sailan Ritchil, a Dama player (self-made long-drum of this community). He is the one who fight to preserve his culture and music. Humble, discriminated and living in one of the numerous slums of this endless city, he opened generously the door of his modest house and his universe for a recording session.
